Chestnut Ridge, NY, February 6, 2008 - LeCroy Corporation announces that its SDA 13000 Serial Data Analyzer has been approved by the PCI-SIG, for PCI-Express Gen 2 Add-In card testing using SigTest. The approval from the PCI-SIG, the Special Interest Group responsible for the PCI Express industry-standard I/O interconnect technology, means that designers can use the SDA 13000 for compliance testing and validation with the confidence that their new designs will be fully compatible with the PCI-Express Gen 2 standard. The SDA 13000 oscilloscope offers designers the world’s most advanced solution not only for compliance testing but, more importantly, for debugging PCI-Express Gen 2 signals and thus determining the root causes of noncompliance.

"The PCI bus is one of the most successful standards in history and is the main general-purpose bus in virtually every desktop computer throughout the world. Its flexible design has allowed it to keep pace with increases in CPU performance and data capacity. LeCroy is committed not only to having the best PCI compliance solutions but also to assisting engineers gain insight during the debugging process in order to validate performance," says Christopher Busso, LeCroy Product Marketing Manager.

An exhaustive, data cross-correlation process of LeCroy’s test methodology for add-in card testing preceded acceptance by the PCI-SIG. With more than 900 members, the PCI-SIG not only validates LeCroy’s leadingedge test solutions, it also provides the environment in which LeCroy can effectively work with developers of PCI buses and products utilizing PCI technology to validate performance and bring products to market faster and with a higher degree of confidence.

The SDA 13000 serial data analyzer is an oscilloscope specifically designed to meet the needs of the next generation serial data standards. When used with the SigTest tool for compliance testing, the SDA 13000 provides the best solution for compliance testing and debug of PCI-Express Gen 2 signals. LeCroy’s PCIExpress Gen 2 debug package works completely within the existing SDA software structure. LeCroy’s latest software release will include 14 new compliance masks, 3 PLLs and 2 Jitter Filters as defined by the PCI-SIG Gen 2 specification.
